Hi there, I was born in Upton Park-in a house right opposite the gates of the Hammers football ground! I now live in East Ham and have done all my life, except for a couple of years in Plaistow. Work in Forest Gate so am not too far from home!!! Mum's family were from Silvertown, Dad's family from Upton Park/Bow Aileenx |

BOTH BOB and I were dragged up in Custom House E16 and were married there then moved to NUNhead Peckham in 1963 just before our second child was born now inCambridgeshire been here 29years now JEAN. |

Knees up mothers brown knees up mothers brown ........... oh my hubby's gran loved that song, specially after a drop of whiskey or 3 lol. Once she had gone past 5 she would break out into Maybe it's because I'm a Londoner lol! Have to share this with you all me darlings . hi all, anyone know pedley street bethnal green, lived there with my dad while mum was ill, dad was born within the sound of bow bells that make's a true cockney,(not bragging) so my gran told me, lived whitehorse lane stepney, would that make me one of you???? |

Hi Penny , My dad was born in Plaistow, his dad was from Mile End and so was his grandfatherand great grandfather .So my roots are there but I grew up in South Wales. Karen : ) |

I was born in Clapton and went to school there then we moved to Hackney (opposite the Town Hall) after dad died. Got married and moved to Forest Gate for a while, then moved to Havant, Hants then back to Stoke Newington. Have lived in Oxfordshire now for the past 25 years. Kathy |
