Hi Lisa; you say that you have tried everything. You must excuse me if I seem a little sceptical, I dont mean to be rude. In cases like this you have to sit back and take stock of all your facts and put them in order of what you know and what you think you know. There is a difference. What you know are facts and what you think you know are usually guesses and family heresay. As another friend has pointed out to you, the start has got to be the obtaining of certificates. And this means a visit to your nearest family history centre that holds the IGI listings of BMD. If you still live in the London area then you are lucky because you are handy for the head office at Mydelton Place. If not try your nearest County Library or the nearest church of the Latter Day Saints. If you have never used these records before the ask for help and you will get it. After your first session you will be well away. The very best of luck with your searches. Kindest regards Ernest

Lisa, have you looked for his birth or marriage (at records office or online) so that you can order certificates? This would be your first move I think. You could also put this on the 'trying to find' board. Good luck, Mandy :)
