You realise that you've absolutely no idea what's been happening in Eastenders for the last 6 months because you're online every night, and you don't care! You've been sat in the same position so long you can't straighten up and have to hobble from computer to bed like an elderly woman! If it doesn't have a mouse, you can't operate it! Angela

.... I now have a friction burn on the underside of my wrist from the mouse mat LOL. Mandy :)

Mandy, So have I! I thought it was just my sensitive skin. I have to use a pc all day at work and now I'm addicted to this family history stuff, I use one most evenings as well. I've got a gel-filled wrist rest on my mouse mat at work but it makes no difference. Maybe I can claim for industrial injury..... Angela

And my bum's gone numb! I really must get a proper computer chair! Angela

I know what you mean Angela, my hubby offered to get me a wrist rest but it's not painful, it's the surface that's doing it! I'm a school secretary so on the pc quite a bit of the day, now most evenings as well! Still, it keeps us out of mischief!! Argos is a good place to get a nice cheap computer chair! Mandy :)

Mandy Think you're right about the surface - the nylony stuff that covers wrist rests is just as bad! As for the computer chair - its not as much money but space that's a problem. We are waiting to move house and at the moment are in a very tiny terrace (4 of us, 4 large cats, house less than 12 feet wide). Only space for the pc is in the understair cupboard. No room for a proper chair - we can only fit in a folding chair that we can close up to close the door. If we don't close the door we can't use the sofa. Hope the people we're buying off find a place to move to soon as I'm getting desperate!!!!!!! Angela

i applied for a new job last week and got it, didnt know there was a vacancy, just asked by chnce, thought it would be counter assistant in chemist. when boss interviewed me he said can you use computers? why did i think of GC, i told him i can use one at home but have no qualifications, he said thats ok we'll train you. The vacancy is on the dispensary side. Im gobsmacked, me, in a chemist. I didnt mention GC out loud.

.... you are going to bed and the sun is just rising. .... you are going to bed just before the mrs comes home (& she's been working nights). .... the 5 yr old comes downstairs and sits alongside you, switching the t.v. on, thinking that, after seeing the light on that it's time to get up. The fact is, that it's really only 4 am, and you havn't yet gone to bed!
