Hi Sally, Yes you were right - not away but we've just had 4 very LONG days out - with the mother in law so not exactly exciting! I didn't get a chance to check emails much over the weekend. THANK YOU so much for going to Harpenden & taking the photograph's! My address is lannew@optusnet(.)com(.)au If I can ever help you with anything here on the Sunshine Coast, about an hour north of Brisbane, then please do let me know. Thanks once again! Lisa. (Have also tried sending this to your email address)

Thanks Brian, Didn't think to do that! Not to worry, I managed to get on-line at work today so emailed Lisa to say I'd left her a message on the board. Am wondering if she's away?

Hi Sally, Just thought I'd mention that Lisa's Harpenden thread is still live. If you want to add this message to hers, look back to page 13 (at the present, but don't hang around or it may vanish) and add it there. She may spot it on her thread rather than this one. Brian

Hi Lisa, had to put this here as my email's down. Dad and I went to Harpenden today with the camera. I am daft though--only realised when i got there that I've walked past that school several times. My Mam was in a hospital practically next door! St George's is a lovely old private school--very Tom Brown's schooldays! There was even a cricket match going on on the field! Above the school door is a stone carving reading 'Aim Higher'. I took photos for you--how do you want them sent? I can email them but it may take a few days cos of my email problem. It's quite a small school, probably very exclusive. Harpenden has some very wealthy people, and there are some gorgeous houses close to the school. There aren't any local shops very near to the school, but it's near town anyway, also near the train station. There is a nice park within walking distance, but not sure where the church is. Harpenden has a few churches, as it's quite spread out. I don't know about orphanages. I did look in the local bookshop for books that might help, but there wern't any specific to the town. Let me know what you want me to do with the photos--they are digital so should download to an attachment easily.
