Hi everybody. Yes, I think also that it is Tourist Trophy. I made a mistake when I said 6 and 8 letters. In fact it was 7 and 6. It fits in nicely. The result won't be printed in our national newspaper for a couple of weeks, but I'll post a definite message. Isn't it funny how we take abbreviations for granted without bothering to enquire what they mean! I am just as guilty of this as everybody else. Sylvia from a sunny Holland, or should I say The Netherlands? Most British think of us being in Holland, but that is not true. The Netherlands is split up into 12 provinces: Friesland, Limburg, Flevoland, north Holland, south Holland, Gelderland, Utrecht, north Brabant, Zeeland, Groningen, Drenthe and Overijssel. So, if for instance you live in Zeeland, then you don't live in Holland, but the Netherlands. It's like saying the Welsh are in England!

I believe it is Tourist Trophy. Google for Isle of Man TT Races. There are some wonderful sites. Brings back memories of the times we rooted for Geoff Duke. Can't remember her name but a women once rode as side car passenger and believe she was from Holland. Getting old - memory plays up now and again

Can anyone out there tell me what TT is short for. For the life of me I don't think I've ever heard it mentioned in full. I need to know this soon. Sylvia
