My tip would be to do as little as possible! Someone once bought me a keyring that said 'Dull women have immaculate houses'. Life's too short for dusting and if you ruin an item of clothing it's a good excuse to go shopping lol Jack x

Agree with Helen .... I pay a lady two hours a week to clean my little house. It's amazing what they can do in 2 hrs when the house is empty and they can whizz through. Definitely recommend my own tip here LOL. Mandy :)

Get someone else to do it. Sons will for a bribe. Husband will clean kitchen if you make it clear there will be no meals until he does so.

Ann - baby wipes are my secret weapon!!! I buy the Morrisons ones in the yellow wrapping - they are the soft cloth-like ones, unperfumed. I use them for EVERYTHING!! They are great for damp dusting, for wiping down paintwork, cleaning spots off carpets and other fabrics, polishing shoes - all without damaging the thing you are cleaning! Not sure how well other types do, but these are FAB!! Maz. XX

Baby wipes seem to be good for removing most things.

Following on from the 'How clean is your house thread - do you have any of your own household tips? My favourite well used tip is that you can remove biro from fabric with hairspray. Squirt it on, and rub well, repeat as necessary then wash as usual.
