Kate, I have 5 to join, I will probably join them at staggered intervals Margaret, the website is :- www(.)genuki(.)org(.)uk/big/eng/linfhs Hope this helps Sue, My granddad was born in Ancaster, but between 1856 and 1881, he changed his name from Muxlow to Harrison, I have yet to find out why. Hi June, Where was your grandad born in Lincolnshire? Well worth joining a family history society I have joined 2 the Leics and Lincs. I contacted a couple of names from both the society's and they were distant relations, well worth joining even if you don't live in the area, you get four magazines per year they are very interesting. I have struggled trying to find facts about my Grandfather, he was born in Lincolnshire, so I decided to join the Lincolnshire Family History Society. You give the names you are interested in and within a couple of monthe of joining I was contacted by someone who thought there may be a connection,We exchanged a few names and dates and yesterday, I received an email to say my great grandmother was sister to his great grandfather. To say I was delighted was an understatement!! So now I have a few more names to add to my tree.
