Ta muchly, Zoe. We didn't hold our Xmas meal until January, so that folks could unstuff from the festive season first, then come out and properly enjoy themselves again! Seemed to work OK, probably do the same again this year. Philip

It's in the main square in South Molton, almost next door to the Pannier Market. Anyway, Paula's now taken the plunge! On one day each week, she's pairing 'em up on a noisy/ quiet combination, on another it will be the two chirrups together, and the two church mice together. It'll be interesting to see how it all works out. No sisters working together, though. Wonder why not? lol! Me, I'll continue to be the rubbish boy! kola! Philip

Now you've got me, Chrissie, I've absolutely no idea about the plant pots in Ilfracombe. After all, it's north of the river, across the Long Bridge over the Taw, and so could be in a foreign country if I really tried! lol! Umm.... both alternatives have their attractions. Mix 'n match means that there'll always be a lively repartee going on, while it'd be great fun to watch too extroverts entertaining the troops together, interwoven with quieter spells to recover our sanity etc! I know this is going off the subject Philip, but I believe you live in North Devon. Can you tell me why the "upturned plantpots" at Ilfracombe haven't got any entertainment on from 6th-8th July please and do you know of any other entertainment on nearby on those dates please? Chris

Definately funny/straight. Just imagine a period with two loud,fun,noisy ladies and another nothing but quiet and no fun. Chris

So there we are, building up our little team of staff in our small family drapers in North Devon. Inherited one or two dodos who evntually decided to make their own way in the world. Recently we've got two very capable sisters working in the shop, both around 50, don't look physically similar, one's much more noisy, the other quieter, but they're both great fun and we're delighted to have them aboard. Now Paula tells me that she's recruited another pair of sisters, to work part time each to replace a full timer who's recently left, and let me guess, they're both around 50, this time look much more similar, one's noisier than the other etc etc. I can see we're going to have a great party! But I'm wondering whether to pair up the extroverts together, or have a funny woman/ straight woman in each team? Suggestions, please! Philip
