Hi, Is there anyone in Bonnie Scotland, who could help advise on this query. I am asking on behalf of a partially sighted friend, he cannot read newspapers etc. to look for himself. He is looking for a remote 3 bedroom cottage, in the Western Isles, Isle of Harris, Lewis etc, near a loch. If anyone can let me have any info I would be most grateful, thank you

If it's for a holiday try a search here: http://www.*cottageguide.*co.uk/ or here: http://www.selfcatering-directory.*co.uk/uploads/estate/html/rg_Highlands.htm or try a search on google

Hello Tricia, Thank you for your reply, my friend is actually looking for a cottage either to rent or buy. I notice you are from Old Kilpatrick, I was born not too far from there, at Dalmuir, I expect you know of there? I left there in the early 50`s so expect there has been a lot of changed, I know that the last time I was in Scotland, in the 1970`s, there had been a great many changes!! have not been back since, as I have no family there now (at least not as far as I know, I`m still trying to trace relations on my father`s side) Thanks again for your reply, I`m keeping my fingers crossed I will be able to give my friend some news eventually.

Hello Maud, Try www(.)rightmove(.)co(.) uk (remove brackets) There is an agent in Dingwall called Your Move that deal with properties in the area that you are looking for. There are several properties listed for sale but, since I don't recognise any of the place names, I don't know if they would suit your friend or not. Good luck with your search, Mags
