Is so annoying!! My sister Claire comes home for a month from the States, and we're going to pick her up at Gatwick. Her flight gets in at 7am. Dad told me to be up at 4:45 and be ready by 5:15, so I am..... and he's only just come downstairs himself. And now he wants a friggin' cup of coffee! Gawd!! I would have been able to have a lie in. I have an interview later today.... so sleepy! Chloe

My daughter's have a dad like that!! Hubby insists on stating times to get up when we going somewhere or times we set off and expects me in get the girls motivated while he takes his own time and we are usually leaving well after his appointed time. One of these days the girls and I will be ready and off, leaving him at home. We've told him, so when it happens he can't say he wasn't warned.

Chloe, I'll do you a swop! My dad is always up at the crack of dawn, despite having been retired for 14 years now. He is always early for everything and leaves loads of time to spare. I'm sure he sleeps in his shirt and tie LOL. No, I wouldn't really swop him! Mandy :)

Thanks everyone! I'm not alone. I'm one of those who have to be there about 15 mins beforehand, and he's the complete opposite. Was nice to pick Claire up though. We have a family BBQ on Sunday, over at my mum's brother's house, will be good to see everyone together again! Chloe

hi Chloe My daughters and my daughter in law despair at times because they know that if they want picking up or the children picking up from school that their dad will be there a least 30 mins before he should be He went out 10 mins ago to pick one of the grandchildren from school he says its to get a good parking spot before all the young mums in their 4x4's get there because they don't know how to park When we are going anywhere I take my time getting ready to avoid getting there to early but as soon as I reach for my coat he his outside revving up the car When we go on holiday we are at the airport for hours before the flight times just in case there are traffic delays Bren

Haha Brenda! About going to the airport early. Back in the day when we went on family holidays, we always had to be there 4 hours or so before the aeroplane was due to depart.... it was so unbelievably boring! Chloe

Chloe My dad died 14 years ago and I miss him more and more, especially as I can't clarify all the things he said about his parents, nor share all the things I've found out about our family. I would love to be annoyed by him! Treasure your dad while you can. Helen.
