can anyone help me please, i'm taking my girlfriend to rome in october for 4 nights and i'm lost as to where to stay! there is so much choice and i dont want to end up in a dive! near to the coach station would be ideal. at least 3 star i've been told to go for. if anyone knows of anywhere i'd be grateful for the advice. thanks for any help, paul..

hi paul,a good alternative,is to rent an apartment. last year, two of my kids and myself rented one at via casini,nr trastevere (excuse spelling) for three days.the accomodation was superb,it was ground floor(not noisey) and the patio doors led out to a beautiful big garden. within walking distance, were the colliseum, the forum, etc. as with lyndi,we booked through sleepinitaly. bryan.
