As Lady Bracknell says in The Importance of Being Earnest "One should never be quite accurate about one's age. It looks so calculating". I have avoided telling my age, but never lied about it. Nowadays i have to stop and think about how old I am, which is scary. I will be 48 in 2 weeks' time and I feel physically about 70 and mentally about 8!

Well I go along with Bridget. Only I'm 39, and it's not my fault if I look 70. Didn't realise you were 'of age' Bridget, I thought that was next year!!! Norah Sorry Brian..........Yes I tell porkies all the time!!! lol

use to lie about being 18 to get into clubs, when I was sixteen!! Luckily I was very tall (for age) and always got away with it. Now I''ve just turned a certain age, but will carry on telling every one I am 36 until I can no longer get away with it!!! Thnakfully, blessed with mothers gene pool, she's sixty six, but looks about 50. Steph ;-))

Like Valley I'm 53 and not bothered by it, but people do not think I look my age, so I guess that's a bit of a bonus!! The only time I've ever lied is when I was 17 and used to go to Top Rank for a girls night out and as far as the bar staff were concerned, I was always 18. When after my 18th I was actually refused a drink and told to bring my birth cert in next time, I was not a happy bunny.
