We are having storm right now. The first clap of thunder was so loud the house shook and I nearly fell off my chair in fright. I was really frit Susie!! lol Sheila

yep wonderful summer weather, climbing rose is now on the floor it attacked me, as i went out the door, so i'm scratched to pieces, neighbours shed roof is no more, the dog refuses to go out. but the electrics holding up, no power cut yet. sandra

Wet and windy here, two medium size trees blown down, and my beautiful rose tree is bare of flowers. My daughter who is working in France sent me a text earlier to say she too has had this storm, seems to be everywhere. Sue

They said this weather had come from Spain well Spain can have it back about an hour ago it came down in bucketfull looked out the window and i noticed i had water on my inside window sill yes i have got a leaking window think the seal has gone more expence grrr Margaret

YEP your right girls IM in CAMBRIDGESHIRE and its blowing up a right old gail at the moment I recon were in for a good old stor one way or another . what ever happened to the scorching hot summers or yesteryear JEAN.

Just driven down the A1 from Biggleswade to St Albans in raging wind and heavy rain. I don't remember weather like this before on July! Jo.

Its been hot and windy here in Derby - great drying weather, but I have already chased my washing round the garden once 'cos the wind is taking it off the line :o(

im in hampshire near new forest and its really windy and the rain is really heavy it feels like about nine at night,wont be going out now.

Is it not summers and not summer you are complaining about Susie?,without going back into the realms of antiquity ,i remember bucks easters as lovely and warm,the boys out in shirtsleeves and short trousers ,and the girls in summer dresses. Now ,it,s july and it,s still darn cold for the time of year.What has happened to the weather?,it can,t all be down to global warming.Fred.

My son is 5 and went on his first ever school trip today - to Southend. He'd been looking forward to it for weeks. Heavens opened in the afternoon, bridge across the Thames was closed, coach was late back, and the mums waiting to pick up their children got drenched waiting in the rain for them to arrive and were biting their nails worrying about what was happening . While I was out waiting for him, my mini shed "roof garden" became a "floor sculpture", and my fence blew down. Summer is definitely here. Angela

Up early as usual for a weekday and had overnight load of washing out by 6 am. Lovely and dry in no time so washed daughter's mock sheepskin style coat and got that dry too before the 'schools out' rain started after 4pm here in S.E.Kent. I think the east coast and southern counties are going to get the worst of it this time. One pane of glass lost from greenhouse so far and counting.

And the weather situation in Solihull is.... muggy, winds starting to get stronger leaving bits of trees all over the roads but as yet - no rain. Oh and one piece of fence panel down and a garden chair that nearly moved into next door. Jacky:-)
