I don,t know if all netto stores did them Sue,i often go in shopping and you find one off deals such as car jacks, tool kits whatever ,i wasn,t impliying that they sell the zappas on a regular basis, sorry about that. as regards maggots,my nephew used to be keen on fishing ,bought a pint of them and put the container in the fridge overnight. My sister opened the door the next morning and had a blue fit ,they got out of the container and were all over the shelves ,the food and even inside the milk jug ,yuk.Fred..

I really am a very calm person but if I see a fly in the house, especially the kitchen I change completely as I hate them. I will carefully lift spiders out of the house but flies, well they have got to be killed. I once heard that they are the world's most dangerous creature because of the diseases they cause around the globe. My daughters recently discovered that if you give a fly a quick squirt with Dettox it stuns them enough for you to follow up with the slipper routine.

Once they sit on the window, zapp 'em, not with one shoe but with two, floppy slippers are the best. They are so busy watching one slipper, they don't see the other one! Works every time. Jo.

Thank you all for your replies. I have got to do something. I don't like the sprays either with having 2 children around. They have had a great time tonight though trying to swat them, lol

Allie I sympathise with you I hate the things. I spend a fortune on fly spray but then choke with the smell of it. What about those things that plug in and emit a high pitched frequency that we don't hear. They rid your house of insects and spiders. I've seen them on home shopping channels and might invest in one myself. Christine

The zappas can be bought in aldi ,netto, wilkinsons and a load of other shopping outlets, and can also be ordered through the post, they are very good ,and easy to use .They also work wonders in the greenhouse [for you gardeners] Fred.

For the last 2 days we seem to have a houseful of flies and I hate them. I'm just wondering if anyone knows where you can buy one of those blue ring things that you see in kitchens in restaurants etc. I dont like fly papers. Any other suggestions welcome, thanks
