The head dinner lady at school was a Mrs I Cook (I kid you not!) and a friend of mine was a midwife whose boss was a Mrs Tugwell!

Our cookery teacher was called Miss Baker and the PE teacher was called Miss Matterface (thing is she did have loads of spots). Hope she's not reading this as she terrified me.

I know the surnames of yesteryear were sometimes linked to a trade etc but does anyone know someone with an appropriate name purely by coincidence. My sister, surname BARKER used to own a pet shop An osteopath we know is Mr PAYNE. I'm sure there must be loads more! Brenda
