I'm probably going to make myself unpopular here, but I really don't know what the fuss is about smilies. I would much prefer the site to concentrate on more important things - keeping it running smoothly/resolving issues around whether its aim is to help contact living relatives with ancestors as the byproduct, or vice versa. etc etc. Angela

Yes Bryan brilliant idea; I'm obviously just like Trish, I have such an odd sense of humour that people often don't realise I'm joking LOL, Mandy :))

Brian, smilies are definitely a good idea. I have such a strange sense of humour nobody knows if I'm being serious or not.

when i type something, its often done with tongue in cheek, hoping everyone will understand ,its just my sense of humour,i do put lol, after it,but were all from different parts of the uk,and some of us are from overseas,so its quite possible, that our humour, can be miss read, which is obviously not the intention. if you were able to programme smilies, onto this board in particular,it not only would add to our enjoyment, but stop any confusion! hope you see this, and i hope you will reply in time. bryan.
