I am learning right now. I've been applying for jobs for almost a month, and nothing is coming up. My mum just rang her insurance company (SAGA - aka ageists!!) and they won't let me be insured on her car. So I have to get a car now, but Dad says 'don't get a car until you have a job'.... grrrr! No one is employing me. I have my savings and that should cover it. I need practice!!! Does anyone else have advice, even if the same as my annoying over cautious father!! Chloe

Hi Chloe, Aren't Dad's like that thou. Mine is just the same. I don't know what to say really apart from it could be your graduation present to yourself. Then hope you get a job soon so that you can insure it and put petrol in it. Dads the person you can always count on and the only man you can trust. But always says no lol If you decide not to get the car, then just make sure that you Dad is the taxi lol Nat

I need to practice whilst learning to drive (my mum drove us to Winchester). Thanks Natalie. My mum has just suggested that I go and try to get a job back at Sainsbury's or something.... don't they realise how much that job depresses me? I've been going back there every summer and I hate it! I feel like crying when I'm there. Chloe

Hi Chloe, Why not try something else then if you don't like sainsburys. I must admit my sister didn't like work for sainsburys either. Why not go to a temping agency and see if they have anything that you might like. What was your degree in? nat

I've gone to Temp agencies... never hear anything back. I ring, and never anything! I've applied to about 5 jobs, and nothing! They all ask for experience.... how can someone get experience if no one employs them!? As for Sainsbury's.... I don't know. I have a problem with depression, and I really don't think it will be doing me any good if I go back there. They treat you like sh*t. I wish I could just not care, but I do. I need a car!!! The more mobile I get, the more chance I have at getting a job. As for intensive courses, good idea, but I have my test already booked, it's for September.... earliest time I could get. They're really busy. Chloe PS, degree was in Psychology.

Chloe, I know it's hard for you at the moment but I take it you are quite young. Beleive me, your dad is giving you advice to help you though I know it dos'nt seem like that now. If he did'nt care about you then he'd let you do what you liked. Take his advice, don't forget he's been where you are but you hav'nt been where he is. Jo X
