Goodness me ..here was I writing a mail when in came the cat making a racket so I knew he had bought me his catch of the day...there it was a rather large frog. Now not knowing if it was dead of alive as it was not moving I placed it in a bowl of water and swishid it around a bit when BAM it jumped so dam high it scared the s--t out of me.So there I was gone midnight running round the kitchen trying to catch the frog with the cat in hot pursuit.Cat is now in for the night as frog is jumping round the garden and I don't want him bringing his new found playmate in while I'm in bed. Last week it was a live mouse but got shot of him quicker than the frog. He has also bought in worms slugs live birds and a stuffed toy dog which was bigger than him and he managed to get it through the cat flap Lynn

Lynn I'm PMSL here. I can just picture the scene. Oh well your cat must really love you as they say it's a compliment if they bring you gifts! LOL Christine

He must really love you ... bringing you all those lovely presents !!! My mums dog once brought in 2 big slugs and left them on the stairs in my house. I only realised when I nearly trod on one - not very nice.

Lynn Oh how I can relate to your story! I have 5 cats and each bring me different 'presents'. Misty once brought me a dead fully grown squirrel. Rigor mortis had set in - how he got it through the cat flap remains a mystery! Kitty brings in frogs, mostly alive, how they scream - I've never heard such a noise. Tom catches mice, voles etc. but usually decapitates them before bringing them to me - yuk! Jasmine catches birds - she's not fussy, any type or size will do. She did draw the line at the local heron though! LOL Ginge (really Jasper, but nicknamed Ginge and it stuck!) grabs anything that moves, including bare toes! I love them all really, well most of the time anyway! Sue

Susie My dog went through a phase of bringing snails in, then he would crack their shells. Ugh!

my cat use to bring me lovely pressies, in the middle of the night! Mouse, (alive), which I had to chase around my bedroom for a hour. Tried to coax Sid (my cat) to get it, but he'd lost interest!!! Once bought in half dead baby bat! Had to call RSPCA to come and rescue it! Sadly bat was injured too badly and didn't make it, although they assured me that there were no teeth marks on it, and it must have been injured before Sid 'gave' it to me!!
