When you think what they earned a year and what a 21yr old can earn a week now !!! Been up in Mum & Dads loft today and got a few things that were interesting a few old papers and a load of press cuttings form 1946 on Boxing and the boxers.Just going to have a good look. Am going to clear loft out tomorrow with my son and my Dad as mum will be out and they can get rid of a load of rubbish but I get first pickings !!!!.....LOL |

You were lucky to have 11 pound a week. I had 25 shillings. I used to cycle to work and to evening school. My mother had 20 shillings and I had 5 shillings. Sylvia |
