Karen, how exciting! And, I can just imagine how excited "the man" is about you finding his sister's grave! And now to have a headstone on it must make him feel relieved. I'm so happy that things are working out for you. Perhaps he might be able to share more stories with you? Thanks for sharing your news, Lisa

it does feel great,we're also hoping to be able to got out to visit him, which he said he would love. it sure makes all the years of searching worth while espically when you think you're never going to break down that brick wall then all it takes is one little crack and the wall comes tumbling down.....listen to me i'll break into song in a minute lol Karen

I jut had to share this with everyone: in april i was contacted by a relative in NZ(her g gran & my g gran were sisters),well she has been able to tell me loads of family info. i knew that my g gran had 2 children by her first marriage but she told me that she had another 2(my g gran abandoned them all in 1910)and one of them is still alive.hes 96,living in the USA.He has called my mum a couple of times and told her that one of his sisters died in portsmouth(where i live) but that he didn't know where.anyway i've found her grave and there was no headstone so he has asked us if we can arrange for one to be put there. to cut a long story short i'm on such a high because i've just got off of the phone to him--he is such a lovely man--he kept saying he cant believe that we are kind enough to arrange this for him and that for 70years he has wondered where his sister was buried. he lived with his grandparents when he was abandoned and hes told me so much about them and the rest of the family. sorry if i've bored you all,i was so excited i had to tell someone and hubbys out playing squash, kids are in bed and mums on hols in ireland, Karen
