Now i know what you were all thinking say cheese and smile, no its not that i want to know if you are allowed to take cheese over to France ,our friends we are staying with love our English cheese and want me to take some over , but is this allowed. Margaret |

Thanks Bob but who could i phone to be 100% sure hubby will kill me if we get stoped at custom for a lump of cheese so i want to be sure Margaret |

Margaret, I know that my daughter brought back lots of cheese from France to Scotland, can't see it being a problem the other way round. I know there is some rule about plants, seeds and bulbs though. Christine |

Margaret, My daughter is working in France at the moment, and my friend went over to see her last weekend and took her some chocolate which wasn't a problem but was banned from France during the foot and mouth outbreak as was all dairy products from the U.K. Sue |

oohh, i love cheese! margaret,a couple of things...dont take pre-wrapped,go to sainsburies,or M&S,and buy it fresh...dont wrap in cling film,it will make it sweat..wrap in foil,keeps it fresh,and tasty...dont stick to english cheese,us welsh make fab cheese,so do the irish. going through my daughters fridge now,youve got me peckish lol.......bryan. |

judith,dont start me off on food lol. go to a busy tesco,they bring out fresh from the oven,french loaves,every 20mins...go home,slice loaf in half,spread real butter on liberally,add freshly cut cheese,branston.......and enjoy.....better than sex on a rainy nite lol. bryan. |

My Stepson lives in France and my wife and I travel over there at least twice a year. very time we go we take at least ten sliced loaves and literally pounds of English Cheese. On the return we bring back loads of French cheese and other goodies. Dont fret just go for it. Cheers Ernest |
