Many years ago I worked for the BBC and met lots of people. I think Les Dawson was my favourite, he was a lovely man and so was Marti Caine. I walked into Bruce Forthys dressing room by mistake whilst he only had his pants on, he was really annoyed and shouted at me to get out. Jo.

Oh, And Douglas Hurd stood on my foot once outside the Houses of Parliament. I was getting off a bus and he was walking along. Someone wanted to take his picture and he stepped back onto my foot. Angela

I've had a few contacts with HRH the Prince of Wales through work. He is charming, sensitive, sharp, and very funny. I have 100% admiration for him even though before my job put me in contact him I could take him or leave him. I also once worked on the turnstiles at a football club and let in Lofty from Eastenders (shows how long ago it was), and a famous author. I won't say who as its so embarrassing! I was reading a book to pass the time as turnstiles can get boring. This guy came through and he asked if the book was any good. I said something like "no, its really terrible but it passes the time" - he looked quite upset. My hubby (then boyfriend) was on the next turnstile and was gesticulating at me to turn the book over. I did, and on the back was the photo of the author - it was the guy who I'd let through the turnstile who apparently was a great fan of the club I worked at. A few weeks later, I was working in the ticket office giving tickets out to friends/family of footballers. A woman came up and asked for her complimentary tickets. I had no idea who she was and asked for ID then scrutinised it very carefully. She was very put out - turned out to be a famous model dating one of the footballers. I was none the wiser as I didn't keep up with those things. Angela
