Bryan, I get my blood pressure check every few months by being a blood donor! I feel that I am doing something worthwhile, but it also gives me a free basic health check. I would recommend it to anybody! Maggy

whether male or female,i think ime right in saying,we all check ourselves for lumps. but how often do you check your blood pressure? if diagnosed, this can be easily treated by beta blockers,or even by a change of diet, depending on the reading. BP should be checked regularly every month, lots of large pharmacies have a meter in store, just sit there, its strapped on,and turns itself off, takes a couple of minutes, but so important to your health, the meter also displays your heart rate, which if too high, makes the heart work harder than necessary. every few weeks, ask a loved one(sorry) or your best friend to check your breath, this is a good indication to your health, and if you notice a problem with your partners / friends breath, you really need to explain diplomatically that they may have a problem. any problems ,dont be afraid of waisting your doctors time, they are well paid for what they do,and remember, your doing them a favour by seeing them,as part of their salarie, they get paid for bums on seats. bryan.
