Well i did go back yesterday ,but what a rip off as regards parking and refreshments the show is getting to be .A tray of chips £1.50, beefburger£2.50,£1.50 for a cornet[ one shrewd man with three vans was doing a good sized cornet for 80p,and was doing a hell of a trade, serves the other greedy **** right. But the car parking ,£ 6 pound a shot ,the missus and i parked the car in shields [free] and wen,t along on the bus [no hassle and a lot cheaper]the show was the best yet and i got some lovely photos to put onto disc later today.Fred.

Thanks Fred and Jean, I was hoping you would tell me it was the August bank holiday weekend, as I'll be up North then. What a shame I've missed it-again! I will have to time next year's trip home better! Thanks anyway!

Hi Fred, when is the airshow, please? I watched it one year from Suitor Point lighthouse--fabulous!

my wife says to go to south shields ,enjoy the sea sand and aircraft without struggling to find a place to park ,or sit ,and best of all ,i can have another picnic ,with these, marmalade sarnies my lot seem to go mad about ,i,m beggining to feel like paddington.I think i will slip in a few marmite ones too ,but the venue sounds like a lot less hassle and think i will go with that idea, besides if i don,t agree with the wife ,i wont get my bag of chips for afters.Fred.
