Jo That's exactly what a friend of mine does. She goes to jumble sales and car boot sales and buys stuff for pennies. Then she sells it on e-bay for pounds. Her biggest profit was over £100 on something that cost her £4. She is retiring soon and intends to make a living selling on e-bay. I'm not organised enough for that, you have to know what you're buying and selling in order to make that much profit. What is the saying? One person's junk is another person's treasure! LOL Sue

It's best to check out prices first. I know of a guy who buys stuff in sales and sells it on e-Bay for quite a profit. Jo.

I was looking on ebay a little while ago. There was one of those new 1891 indexes over several counties on one disc. I saw one for yorkshire with 10 minutes left at over £92, I couldn't believe it. The top price on these is no more than £50, and thats for the ones with a lot more info on than this one. It was also only the standard edition whose price was under £20. I don't understand why people don't check the new price first. Diane
