Isn't this a great name! She is on my husband's side of the family. When I started delving into his tree (or should that be shinning up it) I found various Ledgers, but couldn't see how Letitia fitted in. I found a Letitia on the census but couldn't see the connection between her family and my husband's. I'd heard my mother-in-law talk of her, and thought that she had just liked the name and remembered it because of the surname, maybe there was no connection. Yesterday I had another look at the Ledgers to see if I could get back a bit further. I found my husband's gt grandfather William on the census, born St Martin in the Fields. No sign on FreeBMD, so I checked out the IGI. Yes, he was baptised in the right year, parents John & Eliza. Found John & Eliza had several other children. Now I knew William's parents names, I looked for them. Eliza died 1867. Letitia was John's second wife as I found them together in 1881 and 1901! Very glad to have her in the family, although she is not a blood relative of husband. H.
