Any for sanitary towels or tampons. We ladies all need them at some time in our lives, but I really don't think the world and his wife (and their small kids) need to be reminded constantly! Sue

I to hate the Michael Winner ad, I just do not like that name droppin man anyway. Carol Voderman is another one I dislike, greedy woman, encoraging people to get into debt. Surely she makes enough on "Countdown" I love the one for "Ready Breck" but I guess thats because my daughter is one of the mothers in it. Bridget x

The ones for Heinz Salad Cream before, during and after 'Emmerdale' . Whoever thought them up wants drowning in a vat of the stuff - and have you noticed they even put it on Roast Beef & Yorkshire Pudding !?!?!

With all the negative comments all I can say is: CALM DOWN DEAR, ITS ONLY A COMMERCIAL! (Best ever adverts!)

Kate. I like the Honda one too. Its very clever. I also like the one with the horses in the sea. I think it was for Guinness or something like that. Brilliant!

Claire, It's funny that you mentioned the condom one - it didn't seem appropriate for the time it was on. I complained to Ofcom about it (along with about another 250 people!!) The Michael Winner advert is totally useless!

Julie Report 29 Jul 2004 21:46

It's Pims o'clock. And then gets them all dancing to Prince Charming, brilliant!!! But Michael Winner gets my vote as well for the most awful advert going. Julie

I think this Clarkson BT add can be added to the list.

For some reason I can't bring myself to hate the Michael Winner ads, simply because they're intended to be annoying. Adverts I hate: LOMBARD DIRECT (with that stupid talking blue phone) HALIFAX (they used to make pretty good ads many years ago when they made a house out of people, also a wedding cake if memory serves me right) GERMALOIDS SPRAY (the guy at the theatre who can't stop fidgeting because he's got piles)

For me it's those obviously dubbed Kinder Surprise ads. Remember that daft woman who used to do "The Shake and Vac"? What a stupid concept, cover your carpet in powder and spend twice as long trying to hoover the damned stuff up! Christine

I have to admit, that along with most people here I hate the Michael Winner ad. It really winds me up! I also hate the Elephant commercial for car insurance. I absolutely love the Churchill dog advert, i think its cute. Also love the John Smiths ad's with Peter Kay. He makes me laugh in the 'Wardrobe Monster' ad. Gem

Here in the States we get endless ads by the drug companies telling you to 'ask your doctor if ........ is right for you.' It really irritates me when they go on to say 'tell your doctor if you have (eg) a serious heart condition, kidney failure etc etc' (You mean people have a doctor who doesn't know that they are seriously ill??!!), or they reel off a list of side effects that make me think that anyone who takes it must have a death wish!

I can't stand anything that has been dubbed and is out of synch. - the advert for 'feminine' itching for example (yuk) and if I have to guess how old some woman is because she uses a particlar cream (and has the weight of the make up department to fall back on) it makes me cringe. L'Oreal adverts - worth what for goodness sake? My favourite advert is the 'Kev and Bev' advert for AA - so simple yet so clever. Magsx

it is that one with Claudia Schiffer making silly faces at her baby for the anti-wrinkle cream ad!!! What a load of tosh. If smiling at your baby gives you wrinkles then just bring them on. I can't think of a better way to get them!!!!

the double glazing windows add with the man that says i say you get buy one get one free ,isay you get buy one get one free and he's dressed in i can only discribe as an 18 century outfit and has a bold patch on top and long hair at the back
