I use shower gel in the shower and soap in the bath. Must have bubbles in the bath though or i don't feel clean (probably all in the mind) and have been known to put shampoo, washing up liquid etc in when i run out.

Di, Well, we don't have to use after shave, do we? Anyway my husband doesn't use this either, thinks it's sissy! My sons in laws all use perfume, after shave, but they're not sissy! It's all in the mind I suppose. Sylvia

I'm a shower gel person - husband a soap man despite having several bottles of gel that once upon a time matched his deodorant. Talking of deodorant - why does my husband insist on using so much? He sprays from a distance of about 2ft in the general direction of his armpit. Result - I needn't bother with fresh air spray - the whole house reeks! At least I know when he's out of the shower and can start dishing dinner. lol Magsx

I'd agree that women are 'funny too!! Wasn't getting at the men! All depends on your perspective. :-) In defence of the 65 jars in the bathroom, isn't it generally true that while men are considered to look better as they get older, and grey hair and so on makes them look 'distinguished', we women have to work harder before people think we look good?

Hi Paul, How are you doing? I do not think men are funny! We women do kind of take over the bathroom don't we.? Today I had a general clean up. All those bottles of cream etc.. just with a couple of drops of whatever still in them got thrown out. I still have three quarters of the jars and tubes that belong to me. Victor still has his three or four items. It must be a female thing taking over the bathroom. We try so hard to look nice and perfumed.....lol. Even if it means going to bed with a lather of cream on your face and curlers... Oh! what we don't do for our men.. Lindy;-)) P.S. How was your holiday?

Excuse me ? Aren't MEN funny ? Sorry, but I have about 5 items in the bathroom (including shared shower gel), the other 65 tubs, tubes and bottles of creams, gels and various potions belong to the female of the house. In what way am I funny ?

In the shower i use shower gel but in the bath or just washing in the sink in the morning its soap. So i use both.

Oh yes! My husband has several little 'quirks' like that, but they're all part of what makes him so lovable! Funnily enough he doesn't care about what kind of soap he uses.

I always use a shower gel, but my husband is old fashioned and insists on using a bar of soap - no not carbolic, he's got past that stage! Anyone else old fashioned? Sylvia
