Thank you all for the lovely messages for my birthday - I have had a lovely day - I have been to work but the girls in the office bought me a bottle of wine (going down a treat at the moment) and a SCANNER !!!!!. I could not believe it - just the thing I wanted. I have only been a member of this site for a few months but can I say that I have never met nicer people - always ready to help and never stinting in the time they give. I am only a beginner but have learnt a lot from reading the message boards and hope that one day - when I retire - which I hope won't be long - I will be able to help other people in the search for their families and keep the friendly and helpful atmosphere of the site going.
