Is that all? I've been trying since 8, and it's taken me half an hour to reply on this thread. I renewed my membership last week, I had to change my password, now I'm on twice. I e-mailed them as my trees are attached to my old membership/password, but I still haven't heard anything. Genes Reunited - do you think you may have overstretched yourselves? Have I spent £7.50 on a lemon??? |

This has been a recurring problem for a very long time but here is an interesting thought. My original membership expired in May but I did not renew until this week. During the weeks when I was not a full member I have not had a problem with accessing the site, occasionally it was a little slow in changing pages but otherwise no problems. I have only just been able to get on the site since yesterday evening, three times managing to get the home page but no further, odd that when I was not subscribed this didn't happen at all. Yep, same here ..... tried all evening to get on without success, managed to access briefly at about 10.30pm but unable to actually do anything. Just tried again now and seems to be fine. I also thought that GR were going to let us know if there were going to be any updates/go-slows - very disappointing! Mandy :) |

Just a quick message from work ... impossible last night and gave up. I remember when the 1901 census site crashed! I sent a message last night to Friends Reunited, the parent site, to let them know about the site crash. John you said "Perhaps they ran out of 50 pences." That was an ironic remark? n'est ce pas... remembering in the July GR newsletter we were told that there were over 90,000 new subscribers that month?!!! Back to the free sites when I get home, thank goodness they are there. Joy |

Never had a problem as bad as last nights, took ages getting on, and then far too long to get anything, so gave up. Well everything else gets blamed on the weather, so why not this? lol Val |
