Dorothy Felt every word you wrote, shan't get much sleep tonight. Sally, If you want a dog that will eat anything, and I mean anything!!!! (don't ask) One that makes sure you have soggy slippers to put on in the morning. One that likes to give you at least one brown hair in every meal, then yes it's a Choccy Lab you need, I know I've got one!! And what's this thing they have about SOCKS!

Its lovely to hear that folk feel as strongly as me about animals, the human being is part of the animal kingdom but alas, some times the worst part for the rest of the animals, we have the intelligence to feel we are better but alas we prove to be the worst. I cannot watch wild life programs for fear that I will see crualty. Thankyou for sharing your feelings on this. eyes

I work for the local branch of Cats Protection. We are a national charity and take in stray and unwanted cats and kittens. Vaccinate, worm etc. neuter and microchip before rehoming. I also have 3 dogs, 5 cats, 1 foster cat and 1 foster kitten and a hamster. So I guess I'm an animal lover! Eileen

Hi Dorothy, You might be pleased to know that London Zoo's elephants were moved from their appalling conditions to Whipsnade Wild Animal Park a couple of years ago, after one of them killed a keeper. One of London's elephants is now pregnant by Whipsnade's bull, Emmet, who has also fathered a beautiful baby girl by his other lady friend, Kaylee. They have a huge amount of space in their paddocks, with shaded areas, a pool deep enough to submerge themselves in, and they walk for miles every day, around the park. Zoos are not my fave places, but Whipsnade has a very good breeding programme. they have produced 5 Siberian tiger cubs in recent years, an endangered species. These tigers will be moved on to other zoos to become part of the international breeding program. I am not a (domestic) cat lover, but could never hurt one. Love dogs though, especially choccy labs!

hi, i am an animal lover!! i have 2 cats--tigger-9yrs old & meg 3 yrs old. meg can be a little madam with tigger, they don't fight, but she torments him by running at him and jumping on his back, she just wants to play, but tigger wont have any of it!! he's getting to old and just wants a quiet life. i had a dog "lassie" but she died from a heart attack 3 yrs ago, it broke my heart when she went, she was 15yrs,and i'd had her from 9wks old, she was so faithfull, i still miss her. i would like to get another dog now but i don't want to upset the cats, when we got meg as a kitten it took tigger a long time to come round and accept her. or maybe another kitten!! a playmate for meg!!! chris.

I have always loved animals, all breeds, all kinds. But because of circumstances only been able to have cats and help stray dogs. I briefly supported the animal liberation front until they went off the wall, and I hate all cruelty. Whats YOUR experience.
