Kylie Why not try a game with Alex in goal for the whole time but explain to matthew you need him to watch closely what Alex does and make notes on the things he wants to learn to do better so that him and Alex can spend time together practising those things.

hi kylie, why don't you just ask the kids, they are the team after all, if they have an input you won't upset anyone.then they can decide if they want to play to win or for fun lol sandra

thanx baz but we only have 3 games left and have only won 2 and last week when the kids finished were saying coach you shouldnt have took alex out and put matthew in and although it was tight them saying that i praised matthew for his efforts i think the kids would just like a win and they are 7yr old who are very disappointed walking off with aloss

The evidence comes from the match. It's not an emotional decision made because Alex is your son. Stick to your team choice and be vindicated by the result. If other parents have a problem with that, let them lose sleep over it. Hope the right team wins. Good luck! Janice

im the coach for my seven yr olds football team and i know he is my son but he is the best goalkeeper we have on the team last week we were winning 1-0 at half time but took my son (Alex) out of goals to let another boy have a turn and we lost 4-1 one of the other dads whos wife is my mate was going mad saying alex shouldnt of been taken out of goals and i said but i dont wanna look like i favour Alex so tomorrow i have decided to keep Alex in goals the whole game what do i do about the other parents think im being unfair ?
