You may not know this but the Liver Birds had something to do with the bird image the Nazi Party used. Apparently the designer was from Germany and was imprisoned during the war for security reasons. As you may have guessed, I don't know the full story but i'm sure you could find out more.

Ann, funny that you should mention the Liver birds. My daughter is at Liverpool Uni and loves the place, but says that the Liver Birds give her the creeps! Maggy

We have power surge protected sockets and took a hit about 3 weeks ago, everything went bang then came back on, no probs since, hope that helps Pat :)

Daniel I have an anti surge adaptor on my socket would that be helpful if you got one. It may not stop a huge strike but i feel happy with it, you can sometimes get an unexpected surge for other reasons, David

Been without my PC for a while as the night Birkenhead had it's only storm knocked it out. Dad said he saw the electicity actually hit the back yard floor. Anyway, back now. Have I missed anything?
