Because I'm little (5'2") and because Nell is an abbreviation of Helen. My dad also started calling me "Little Nell" after the central character in "The Old Curiosity Shop" which was dramatised on tv when I was a child. Patrick Troughton (who once played Dr Who) played the evil Quilp who half-scared me to death! LN |

hallo Since there are a lot of Helens on this site (and my dad chose this name because there weren't any around when I was born!) , not to mention the fact that my sister-in-law is also helen Evans, I have changed to Little Nell, which i use on other websites. I am is still Helen Evans from Hitchin, but will be Little Nell on here in future. LN |
