hi to all ive got back yesterday, from majorca, first time flying and it was fantastic, spain was lovely. best thing is my sun tan. all inclusive was bad idea as the food was disgusting. never mind back home to rainy wales.

Did you have Sangria from a big glass thingy?

Well, that's a matter of opinion. I love Spanish food, paella, pinchos, different tapas. You should eat where the Spanish eat and not where the tourists eat, you then eat good wholesome Spanish food. We even went and ate in an old peoples place. We were so welcome! Sylvia

What's an old person's place? If I said anything like that (again) i'd be slated for it. ha ha

I'm not sure exactly what you call these places in England. We have them here too, it's where 60 plus people get together, drink coffee, have a pedicure, visit hairdresser, have a meal and take part in different courses/workshops. I found in Spain they had excellent facilities for the 60 plus people. Even though we weren't Spanish they invited us in. I only popped in to the loo once and they said "come and have a meal". All these facilities are of course very cheap too. Sylvia

I don't think we even have them in England. Perhaps one of the er ,more experienced members could tell us?

i did have sangria, not from a tall glass thingy, we ate out most nights as the hotel offered rabbit stew twice in one week, burgers (which looked like tinned), over cooked pasta with tomato sauce, every lunch time and evening, suckling pig in stew. majorca stew consisted of lamb and chips left over from lunch. The kids spotted a mcdonalds in Palma, end of week one, we did visit some lovely resturants in Palma nova, and we werent the only ones who couldnt eat the food supplied by the hotel . Our daughter celebrated her 18th birthday while we were in spain and enjoyed the bucks fizz. unfortunately by the end of the evening she couldnt pronounce bucks fizz in its correct manner, and needed to be reminded she was a little loud. bless her! !
