Thanks for all your very kind messages, am pleased to report that little Daniel is doing really well and has come out of high intensity into low instensity care now. Mum is doing very well too. Looking forward to seeing him next Monday. love Val

On that note, take no notice of the old "He'll come home when he's 5lb" rule. My son came home still 4 weeks premature weighing 4lb6ozs - it's done on general wellbeing now, not just weight.

Have now seen photo, and very impressed, he has quite a lot of hair. His mummy & daddy feel a bit down today, as they are having difficulty stabilising his blood sugars, poor little mite gets his heels pinpricked for a blood sample very 4 hrs. Also they think he might have an infection, and are trying to decide what to do about antibiotics for him. Once again thanks for all your good wishes. Love Val
