Daniel, do you remember what you had to eat a week ago last Wednesday?.- probably not. The holiday will hopefully hold many happy memories. Unless the kitchen is really awful,ie. unsafe or a health hazard, the skiing would be more fun, - but not for me thanks!..... Oh, right I see you've decided Paul, now you've got to break the news. I had: Entrecôte Marchand de Vin A classic French recipe which has the simplest possible sauce for a fried steak. The red wine bubbles down and deglazes the pan so that all the lovely flavours of the steak are incorporated into the sauce. Followed by: Strawberry and Balsamic Ice Cream with Sweet Strawberry and Mint Salsa The addition of balsamic vinegar to dairy products such as cream and ice cream tempers the richness and adds a subtle flavour. Coupled with its affinity with strawberries and I had something in this ice cream that is both exquisite and unique. What did you have?

ah yes but when i go skiing i can eat on top of a mountain, then make a snowman and then ski like the wind straight down the pub!

Paul you don't sound very old. Why not get the kitchen done now for your good lady ( it will make her happy, then you will be happy) and save up for a year or so for your skiing holiday. When I said you don't sound very old I meant it in the way-- that you have years ahead of you for lovely holidays. Jo.

Perhaps our opinions are governed by life's experiences. Having lost my brother to cancer I now view things differently than in my more cautious past. God forbid anything should happen to anyone but would it be better to look back and say "I'm glad we had that great holiday" or "I'm so glad I had the kitchen done"?

hi. sorry been in meetings all day. very boring! shouldnt say that really seeing as i chaired most of them!! the answer is yes i am still going but after advice from you very nice people i decided to downscale to Bulgaria for the skiing and then do the kitchen as well!! everyone happy. except lisa perhaps!! lol! x
