Many, many thanks for your support and kind words. We are a small team and this is big accomplishment for everyone involved including our members. One of the things we've done is to pull the family tree out to a seperate window. This may take some getting used too but the feedback from testing was very positive that this was an improved experience. We are very very excited! Very best to all of you, Michelle

Here is the site update posting from a few weeks ago. Genes Reunited site update A few months ago we announced that we will be updating the site to reflect the look of Friends Reunited. This is process and will be released in the next few weeks. In addition to those changes we are adding a Contact Centre which will store sent and received messages as well as your contacts. (Which means if your email address goes invalid you won't lose any GR messages) For those of you who have been asking for 'easy view' of your membership status, you’ll be happy to know this is on the way. We are also making improvements to the contact messages which will make it easy for members to respond to ancestor/tree enquiries by offering a quick ‘auto reply’ option (of course you can still type in a personal reply). This isn’t the end of the improvements. We will be adding NameX, an enhanced version of Soundex, to our searching facility in near future. This will allow you to search on surname/forename variations increasing the chance of a connection. The team here is working hard to incorporate all of your feedback and suggestions for GR. To all of our members, A few weeks ago I posted a thread to let you know about upcoming changes to the look of the site and the introduction new functionality. I'm excited to tell you that we are less than a week away from launching the new version. The new look may take a little time to get used to but don't worry we have kept all of our great features and have even added some new ones. The family tree and message boards have also been improved. I will post something closer to the launch time. We hope you enjoy the new version! Best, Michelle
