Hi John Yep I did wear my sexy summer top and the weather stayed nice enough that I didnt suffer from frost bite :-) My type is caring, honest, is interested in me for who I am and not just what I look like, gets on with my friends, enjoys nights curled up on the sofa as well as nights on the town, and is good looking - and people ask me why I'm still single :-)

Awwwwwwwwwww Karen !!! Fate is fate and it clearly wasn't meant to be. Get yourself out for the night and find someone who IS your type ! Rick.

At least he wasn't your type or that would have been really really bad! Hey, tell us what your type is! (if you like) Did you wear your lovely dress?

Hiya Thought I would give you all an update. It looks like my sources were wrong, the mega brainy bloke wasnt single after all - his girlfriend was at the party as well, he wasnt my type anyway, but I'm now feeling on abit of a downer about it all, kinda feels like I've been stood up on a date :-( Anyway, thanks again everyone for your kind hints. Karen

Hiya Thanks everyone for your replies :-) I will have to take a little notebook with everyone hints in it and keep disappearing to the loo to see what I need to talk about next :-) My problem is when I speak to people both face to face/email or by phone I'm a mega rambler and can talk for hours about nothing and everything but never about anything brain taxing. but sport will be a definate no no subject as I dont like football or rugby - well apart from to watch Johnny Wilkinson :-) His brother (whose 30th do it is) thought about setting me up with his bro beginning of the year but at the time his bro was travelling around UK alot and he decided it wasnt the right time to set me up with him. I just hope its nice weather on Saturday otherwise I'm going to look a completely prat in my summer dress :-) I will update you all over the weekend on how things go :-) Keep your fingers crossed for me that hes a Robbie Williams or Val Kilmer look alike :-) Karen

Can we all come and watch from a distance please? Do you know how he is mega brainy? What's his job, interests etc. Is he into family history? If you can find out, read up on the subject if it interests you too, then you'll have a good conversation rather than a monologue. Memorise some of the recent riddles that have been on this site - that'll get most people interested. We certainly want an update. Go armed and dangerous!

You sound quite the professional Dave. Have you got your own magazine column or something. :-)

Karen You've got me interested already, just thinking about this sexy summer dress phew!!, but you may be getting all excited and not like him unless you have already met?? i am getting this vision ( by your discription ) that he might wear great big hornrimmed glasses and recite mathematical equastions all night. If you really fancy him, be a little mysterious not to pushy, flutter your eye lashes smile and yes be yourself and occasionally a touch here and there, now now i mean on the arm or shoulder, that always did it for me. Good luck and lets have an update David
