George, I'm glad someone mentioned Pizza Hut - I love it! We are getting one in our town shortly and I can't wait. Mandy :)

We also have a lovely Greek restaurant here in Almere, the harbour, facing all the boats. If it's nice you can sit outside. We also have a pancake boat, where you can eat a choice of some 40 different pancakes, from bacon and apple, bacon, minced beef (German), salmon (Norwegian) for a reasonable price of 7 Euros, about 10 pounds. The Kelderke in Brussels in the Grande Place. It does the best stoumpf (not sure about the spelling) - it's a typical Belgian/Dutch dish of potatoes mashed with carrots/cabbage or whatever is going. Order it with the carbonnade de boeuf flammande (beef cooked in beer). It is gorgeous! Makes my mouth water just telling you all about it ;-) Estelle

Hi Mandy It is right on the sea front next to the pier. It's very popular so you have to book - a good sign!! We will definately give Lemon Grass a try next time - sounds great and we love Thai food. It's always good to go on recommendation. Thanks.

Suzy, great idea! Whereabouts in Bournemouth? There is also a great Thai restaurant in Westbourne called the Lemon Grass. Apparently it has a good reputation anyway, but has just been taken over by someone we know from our little town, and he has a good reputation here so it should be good!

Here's my choice: 'West Beach' in Bournemouth - modern European place which serves fantastic oysters and lots of other fresh seafood. 'Efes' Greek restaurant near Kilburn in London - wonderful kleftico. 'The Waterside Inn' in Bray, Berkshire - when you win the Lottery or have a REALLY special occasion. Run by Michel Roux (say no more) and 'The Crown Inn' in Everton, near Lymington in Hampshire - a family-run pub which specialises in seafood and is fantastic value for money.

Could we add our favourites here, or would that be advertising?
