Where can I get a magnifying glass?

How I am supposed to read the tiny letters on the message boards. I have it set to the largest option for words but that only makes the people's names bigger. Should I sue because I am straining my eyes and getting a headache? Hopefully this will get sorted soon.

Try altering your screen resolution to 800 x 600 or similar.

Nicola We shouldnt have to start mucking around with changing the settings for test and contast and colour. My boyfriend would go mad if he caught me doing all that. Why should we have to change it?

Debbie and Liz, Right click on your desktop, select properties. A window should pop up. Click settings (tab on top right). On the bottom left of that window should be a screen resolution option with less and more arrows and a number underneath (possibly 1024 x 768). Alter that to further to the left. Press ok. It will alter the screen then ask you if you wish to keep it that way. Don't move it too far left or else the windows may move off the screen. You can return it back to the original setting by going through the same options. Oh and Debbie, it was just a suggestion. Remember that for every person with poor eyesight there is a person with perfect eyesight. They have to keep it mid range between tiny and huge to try and keep everyone happy. Hope this helps anyway.

Thanks for the help. I have put it on the biggest possible setting (the words) and its good. However I didn't want to do that before as it makes the homepage look wrong, but it seems I havn't got a choice. PS: I don't wear glasses

I enlarged the text by following the instructions in the 'text too small' bit at the left hand side bottom. But I agree that the black on off white is too much of a contrast, If you think back we had it lik this once before and eventually persuaded the team that we preferred the green, it is less of an eye strain. ann Glos

Have to say I am with you Daniel - if I keep the 'view' set at larger text it's TOO large - and medium is too small........doesnt seem to be any consistency either, when my text size is set to larger, and I reply to a message, the message text is tiny and the text on the main window still large. Only been on here about half an hour and have eye strain already - not what I need - I get that enough already from spending too many hours on the pc LOL........

Hiya everyone Do what I did today, bought a 17 inch monitor for £99 - cheaper than a new pair of vari-focals. I can actually read all the websites and everything now.
