My first concert was David Cassidy with Showaddywaddy supporting him at Shawfield stadium Glasgow. Surely I'm not the only one who went to see the Bay City Rollers?,loads of times and Boomtown Rats at the Glasgow Apollo. Since then loads of others, embarassingly Peter Andre 7 yrs ago and Westlife (with my daughter) Christine

I went to one of the first Pop Concerts in this country on Lincoln City football ground at Whitsun 1966. I think it cost £1. Who Yardbirds Screamin Lord Surch Georgie Fame Alan Price She Trinity Manfred Mann Kinks and several others. One day while at uni, we looked out of the lecture theatre window and something was happening on the steps in front of the Albert Hall. Between lectures we went out to see what was going on and they were filming a programme for American TV. We stayed out to watch. Freddy and the Dreamers Dave Berry Paul and Barry Ryan Fortunes Unit 4 plus 2 and lots more.

Don't think it's long enough ago for mine to qualify but my mum saw the Rolling Stones and The Beatles. Apparently she got a tad hysterical when she went to see the Beatles. Amy x

I have seen Howard Jones, Big Country, Aha, Level 42, The Undertones (several times, loved Fergal Sharkey!), Hazel O'Connor, Bill Withers and more probably! Mostly saw them at Guildford Civic Hall or Brighton Centre. Crista - sounds like we were in Guildford area gigs at same time! Somebody else mentioned Tommy Steele - have seen him too, but only coz I worked with his sister-in-law. Some people might remember his brother Colin Hicks who was also in a band at the same time. Apparently they were more popular on the continent (don't remember, before my time lol).

The oddest concert I went to see was a double bill at Lewisham Odeon. Most of my friends went to see Genesis (very strange, Peter Gabriel wearing a dress) but I was more interested in the second half of the concert - Lindisfarne! Can't imagine why they were put together, but there you are.. Helen

I used to go to mant of the 'Road Shows' of the 60's - and to our local 'ballroom' to see bands there. I have seen The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Animals, Hollies, Johnny Kidd, Dave Dee, Dozy Beaky Mick and Titch,( Titch had broken the fly on his trousers- not funny when you are the drummer lol) Billy J Kramer, The Walker Brothers,( I touched Scott Walker's leg - wow!) PJ Proby, Manfred Mann, The Four Tops, Long John Baldry, Herman's Hermits etc etc so many I can't remember them all. Oh to be young again! lol Magsx

Mags, I've got the Baby Boomer Trivial Pusuit game and every answer we don't know on one section seems to be Long John Baldry. What on earth did he sing? Please put us out of our misery!

I saw Duran Duran, Ultravox, OMD and Depeche Mode all at the London Hammersmith at separate times between 82 & 83. Was madly in love with Simon Le Bon at the time. Now if I see an old video I cringe!! I would say that out of the 4 bands OMD was the best performance. Julie
