I went to see David Essex too. My friends sister was mad about him. I went to see Gilbert O'Sullivan when I was 13. George Benson several times. I was into Barry Manilow (did I really admit to that) saw him about 4 times. Got to be the same all the time at the end though. Went to see the Osmonds in the 70's. Simply Red early 90's, they were brilliant. My husband likes the Shadows I took him to see Hank Marvin on his birthday in Colchester about three years ago, and in June this year to the Hammersmith Apollo on the Shadows farewell tour. Not my sort of thing but he enjoyed it. In February we went to see Merrill Osmond in Cambridge, brilliant bit of nostalgia. Don't really get the chance much nowadays everything is usually such a long journey. Those were the days though. Diane

I saw Led Zeppelin, Genesis, David Bowie,Queen,Whitesnake,Rush,Van Halen and quite a few others. That was in the days when I was a free spirited Rock Chic with no kids and more money than I have these days (not to mention more energy). Sheila x

Now I feel old! I remember seeing the following at least twice at Guildford Guildhall: Paul Young, Howard Jones and Big Country and then saw these at London and Brighton: Depeche Mode, Crowded House, A-ha, Duran Duran, OMD, ABC, Human League, The Cult, The Stranglers...... Best concerts where always Big Country. Sometimes they had 4 encores. Crista

Lisa i saw Genesis in 1978 at Knebworth when i was 16. It was the first time i had seen a laser light show (it was quite new then) and i was blown away. They were fantastic. Most recently i went to see Blondie at Newcastle City Hall and even though she's getting on a bit she put on a very energetic show lol.

Not sure about old bands when I was a teenager - I've seena few in more recent years! Only because we've all aged. David Essex - drool drool!! Seen him a few times. In the last year at senior school the drama teacher asked who would like to go and Godspell. Imagine the hands that went up for that one. Sadly she could only get us tickets for Jesus Christ Superstar so it was Paul Nicholas we saw. Not long a go I went along to the local theatre to see Alexandra O'Neal. He can still sing but not sure he was sober. He was reeling all over the place. Jane
