Have a tenuous link to the Spencer-Churchills (Winston Churchill and Diana Spencer) in my tree. I also suspect that a greatx4 grandfather committed an unsavoury crime that I don't really want ot go into on the boards. But nonetheless makes interesting research. Angela

Dave Berry - did he do a song with Sunshine in the title? Rings a faint bell. I have no-one famous in my tree, though I do have a gt gt gt uncle who killed his pregnant fiancee while insane and spent the rest of his life (40+ years) in Broadmoor. It happened in Rendcombe in 1862 - village with about 257 inhabitants, and he reported what he had done to the village constable who was also his godfather. Because of this crime, I have a description of him from the Gloucester Gaol register, and a write-up of both the committal hearing and the trial from newspapers. nell
