I'd be well up for it! I'm near Wakefield so anywhere this way (Wakefield/Leeds etc) would work for me. Have only been on here for about a month or so but would love to meet those of you whose names are so familiar already :) Joanne

Hi every Yorkie this is just a suggestion for a date, How about we have are yorkshire meet up on the 16th October same as when gaynor is meeing up with friends in the south,then we can all raise a glass for gaynor and Rob. just a thought wonder if AMY can organise this meet. Sue

hi all, i live in dewsbury. seems best place to meet is either wakefield or leeds for most of us . AND i have got the 16 th already booked off work. am going to an open day at drighlington church {!} but could do that early , then go on to ........... where ? any ideas . sue.

I will actually be at the meet for Gaynor so will have to miss this yorkshire one - but did you know that the FH Fair thingy is at the cathederal School in Wakefield on Saturday 13th November?????

The 16th October was just an idea, Is it possible for everyone for yorks meet to look at work schedules/diaries to see when a date is convenient. Sue

Hi I've just posted a thread on this board about 'family history event in Wakefield, Yorkshire' (do have a look!) and suggested on that thread that we could combine that with our meet up. It's on Sat 13 Nov, 10.30 til 4.30. I suggested that we could meet up after for dinner, or whatever. Just an idea. Joanne

joannes idea sounds brilliant ! 2 birds with 1 stone ! only problem i can think of is somewhere big enough for us all- wakefield is very busy on sat lunchtime. all the pubs will be busy anyway. my son says the six chimneys pub is quite big, menu cheap and cheerfull . i wonder if it would be worth booking a room , if they have one ??????? sue.
