Hi! I've only been with GR for a few weeks, and have been given permission to view another tree, but my page says there are no trees for me to view! Any suggestions?

I've only just joined but find the permissions for viewing trees very complicated. Bizarrely, on the Contacts list the instruction says "Remove". I've now found out that click this show "Allow". The only problem is that it doesn;t seem to work - people still cannot view my tree. Also, although I've been given permission by others, I cannot view their trees either. What am I doing wrong?

Have you gone thru the link on the left hand side of the screen saying "View Trees"? This should give you all the info you need!!

Kay, if it says remove beside a contacts name, it means they already have access to view your tree and by clicking remove you then stop that access. When it says allow....that means they don't have access yet to your tree until you click on allow. Also the little tree picture shows which trees you have access to. It is very confusing since they made the changes on the site. Hope I've not made it even more confusing. LOL Christine

This is becoming a real pain. I've contacted someone with definate connections & he has been trying to allow me to see his tree but its just not happening! He still comes up with request at the end of his name on my contacts list & his name doesn't appear on my "view other members tree" list. Is anyone else having this trouble? Emailed GR(C) but no answer (as usual!) Any ideas? Regards Brenda
