Hi Elaine, Have emailed GR, but as it takes them around 2 days to respond thought people should know, especially as how so many of us have inadventently given people access without meaning to because of the new system. Amy x |

How bad is this?! Even if you've removed access for someone to view your tree it seems they still can. I have access to a few trees on here and while looking at one and changing to another accidently clicked on the name of a person whose tree I can no longer access. However, I was taken to this persons tree and had full access. How is this happening? There are some people whose access I have withdrawn because I no longer want them to be able to see my tree, but surely if I can view peoples whose access I no longer have (even says so in contacts list!) then people whose access I've withdrawn can still view mine. V worrying. Especially as I've removed it from a number of people due to not realising initially that you now had to "opt out" of allowing access to your tree. All these people could now still be able to view my tree! Have emailed GC so hopefully should get a response from them, although the last time I emailed them I got a "we're looking into this". Very helpful!! Not! Just thought you should all be aware of this. Amy x |
