Anyone have a good remedy for heartburn?

My work mate is sitting opposite me with a severe case of heartburn - well she did over indulge at lunchtime ending with strawberries and cream. Anyway she is sitting here and her face is looking a bit how can I say, as if she is fall of wind. Any antidotes Lin

Have just managed to get a word from Miss Heartburn after she has just eaten half a packet of softmints - Burp! sigh thats better. Thanks chaps - I think I will try the "serves you right" remedy next time. Lin

Extra strong mints, although if it happens often carry Gavilast, they are really good, small pill that you swallow. gaviscon are good too but they have to be chewed. ann Glos

thanks. its an old cure from my childhood. havent you ever seen the naked welly wearing aardvark shouting folk of the isle of wight? they mostly live in the hills now but you sometimes see one at night.
