Thanks Mags. She does need help but it's whether or not she's ready for help. I will have a long chat with her soon.

That boy needs help FAST - if he does this to a sister what is he going to do to anyone else ? Tell your friend that she needs to take action NOW - either report him - threaten to report him - or GET OUT - as quickly as possible. Could she seek refuge somewhere? Sounds like she could do with some professional help. A very concerned Magsx

Could be. But I'm the baby, and I'm not favoured over the others! I think it's because he's a bloke. Her parents are very traditional in that sense, at least her dad is.

Thanks Elaine. I was going to suggest telling the police, but wasn't sure. It was a few weeks ago. Her parents favour Chris over her, always have.

then he should be at least told off by the parents. why doesnt she go to the police ? your friend should avoid him so not to get into any arguments which will turn violent. Also she will benifit from councelling, mabe her doctor can arrange this. E x

My friend (and I mean friend) got into this huge argument with her younger brother, which ended up in him hitting her on the head and on her side, made her black and blue and bleeding. Her parents have done nothing about it. She's depressed anyway and this is going to make her ten times worse..... she hardly ever leaves the house, she has some sort of social anxiety/phobia. I'm really worried about her. What can I do to help? PS. She's 21, like me. No job, dropped out of uni. Applied for jobs but not having any luck.
