Hi stu, Bryan and Bob. Sorry to be so long in responding, I hit Brighton today, needed a bit of retail therapy!!! Stu, really glad it's helping your cousin. Haven't heard of that software. G'd afternoon Bryan, I'm not really a typist either that's why I wanted to try it thought it would save time hmmmm. No secretary to dictate to Barbara Cartland I'm not!!! though I do like lilac lol. Thanks about the stories, I really need to get back into them. Maybe some advice one day!!! thanks Bob Yes I know what you mean, I had just got it to understand a few words and the next time I tried something must of been different as it went back to typing rubbish. No probs as far as being on my own, the cats don't seem to object. Neighbours prob thought I was a bit weird though. Lynda x

I tryed Via voice but had to revert to typing. 1. You really do have to be patient with it as it can take much longer than they suggest before the accuracy is anywhere near good enough 2. You need a good mike and headphones 3. It is no good if your computer is anywhere noisy (TV music etc. will confuse hell out of it) The last was the main problem for me as our computer is in the living area of the house so other peoples voices annoyed me, and my voice droning away at the computer drove others mad. The program does work though and I would be using it now if I lived alone. Bob

morning lynda, bet its a nice day in brighton! ive often wondered about this software,as i can only type with one finger,so by the time ive answered something, the subject matter, has gone. it must also be good,as you say for novelists etc,as most have to employ a secretary,to type the scripts etc. if you ever want a pro to look at your stories, just let me know,as an author friend of mine,is only too pleased to help! now, enjoy sunny brighton.............bryan.

I bought one in March, as I used to enjoy writing short stories, and wanted to get back into them(which I haven't!) your supposed to train the thing first to get used to your voice. I've tried a few times but you have never seen such gobbledgook it puts down, I'ts hilarious but annoying at the same time & I certainly don't believe I talk like that!! Lynda (:-((
